As our volunteer newsletter editor, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our members informed and engaged. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic team, curate relevant content, and help shape the voice of our association. Your contributions will highlight best practices and research insights and foster a sense of community among our members. Our current Editor, Andrew Bradshaw, will be stepping down after two years in the role, so we are therefore seeking a newsletter editor to help to bring the world of IR news to our readers inboxes.
This is a fantastic professional development opportunity to increase your knowledge of the sector and gain an in-depth understanding of higher education issues at both international and domestic levels. It is hoped that the incoming editor will work alongside our current editor for our final issue for 2024, which we expect to be circulated after the AAIR Forum towards the end of November.
The incoming editor is welcome to take the Newsletter in new directions – to add their personal stamp, if you will. We are open to your ideas and happy to discuss how AAIR can best support you in the role. The key for AAIR is that the content keeps our members informed and is of interest to our broad readership, which now numbers over 950 subscribers.
Andrew can provide all the necessary resources to the incoming editor regarding where topical information can be sourced, and you will receive any necessary training during the handover period (November 2024), and then formally commence in February 2025.
