Who are our members?

The AAIR membership is made up of people from many areas associated with tertiary education, from universities, private providers, professional bodies and our AAIR partners. Our members mostly come from Australia, with a smaller number coming from New Zealand and fewer still from other countries. These members though represent a significant number of institutions and organisations within our region.

Life members

Those members who have worked tirelessly for AAIR over many years, had roles on the Executive Committee such as President or Secretary, or have presented at many of the forum events, have been acknowledged by their peers with the conferring of life membership. AAIR thanks its Life Members, for without them we wouldn’t be where we are today. Life Members continue to play an important role within the Association, their vast experience helping the newer members to understand the various roles of IR and how they can best contribute.

Honorary members

AAIR reserves a special category of membership to honorary members. The AAIR Executive Committee can proffer honorary membership to a prominent citizen from within Australasia or abroad who is visiting AAIR for some special occasion.
