Welcome to the July 2024 edition of The Institutional Researcher.
Dear newsletter readers
Winter has arrived across most of Australia and New Zealand, and the colder mornings and nights have commenced. The morning walks are often a little harder to begin, with frost on the grass and the cold air greeting you as you walk outside. It takes me at least a kilometre before I am warmed up. Hopefully, your winter is not too cold, although many of us prefer the cold than the heat in the middle of summer.
Many of you will be currently enjoying your university’s midyear breaks. Students are on holidays for 4 weeks or so, and the campus is not as busy. Hopefully, some of you will be able to escape the cold and get away to the warmer northern hemisphere in Asia, Europe, or America. I recall this time last year, I was happily experiencing a northern summer in England, Ireland, and Scotland. If you are one of the lucky ones to enjoy a holiday now, have a safe and healthy break.
AAIR also now has the privilege to announce that this year’s AAIR Forum will be in Adelaide from 18 to 20 November. More details will follow shortly. Hopefully, we shall see you there 😊
