COVID-19 Updates

As the world prepares for massive changes during this unprecedented global event, the AAIR Executive Committee is discussing how it can make sure you are well looked after during these changeable times. Please be reassured that you are valuable to our association and we will do our best to find alternatives to our ‘business as usual’ so that you still get good value for your membership.

How WE can help YOU

The AAIR Executive Committee met to discuss the current climate in light of the COVID19 considering outbreak and is exploring ways to assist our members during these uncertain and difficult times. Some changes we are implementing so far are:

  • Cancelling our face-to-face mid-year SIG Forum.
  • Exploring options for an online summit instead of the SIG forum.
  • Hosting a ‘Conversations During COVID’ series of online webinars.
  • Continuing to review how we will manage the AAIR Annual Forum at the end of the year.
  • Maintaining an operational secretariat so you can email with questions if needed.
  • Keeping abreast of developments and advice from the New Zealand Government and the Australian Federal and State Governments and sharing this with you.
  • We’re committed to providing networking opportunities and other platforms to build and grow your professional practice.

How YOU can help US

Let’s use this time to support one another and build our community by networking in other ways. You can help us by:

  • Following us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Accessing (members only) the AAIR LinkedIn SIG groups, which are a great place to start conversations (members can contact the Secretariat for access).
  • Purchasing books to get you through isolation using AAIR’s Book Depository account. For every book you purchase using our special link, AAIR receives 5% of the sale. There is no additional charge to you, and you will complete the transaction with a smile on your face and send a smile to us.
  • Letting us know if you think we can improve our service by sending feedback to info@aair.org.au.
  • If you have any ideas you’d like to share, such as a great webinar, or if you’ve seen something you think is really good, please email the AAIR secretariat at info@aair.org.au.

If you have any questions about AAIR and its operations in the coming months, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate your individual circumstances.

We envisage challenging times ahead, but we remain vigilant of the global situation and are committed to continuing to bring to you the latest news in our newsletter, collegiality via our online platforms, and finding alternative ways of delivering great content to our members.
