Welcome to the May 2023 edition of The Institutional Researcher.
Dear newsletter readers
I hope all our readers enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing Easter break; and that we all took the time to reflect on the bravery of our war veterans (past and present)—as well as our currently serving defence personnel—on ANZAC Day. Reflecting on ANZAC day, it is wonderful to see the massive numbers attending the many sunrise services across both Australia and New Zealand.
Although I am retired and no longer actively involved in higher education, I still hold a deep interest in higher education news. The current review on Australian higher education via the Australian Universities Accord has seen many submissions from universities, individuals, and various bodies interested in higher education. The next few months will be interesting as the panel reviews the various submissions, and then the important task of outlining the changes will take place between now and the end of the year.
I hope you are enjoying the newsletter, and please let me know if there is anything you would like to see added.
