Dear AAIR Newsletter Readers

Welcome to the first edition of the AAIR newsletter for 2025! I hope the new year has started positively for you all, filled with fresh opportunities and renewed energy. As we step into the new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the changes within AAIR, and express my gratitude to those who have helped shape our community.

First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Andrew Bradshaw, our previous newsletter editor, for his outstanding contributions. Andrew’s dedication and thoughtful curation of the newsletter over the past 2 years has left a lasting impact, and I am deeply honoured to build on the strong foundation he established. Thank you, Andrew, for your commitment to AAIR and for ensuring the newsletter remained a valuable resource for our members.

This edition marks not only the first newsletter of 2025, but also a time of transition and renewal for AAIR. You may have already noticed the new look of the newsletter, which we hope you will find fresh, engaging, and easy to navigate. This redesign reflects our commitment to evolving with the needs of our community while maintaining the high standards you’ve come to expect.

More importantly, AAIR is ushering in a new era with the appointment of our new President. I am thrilled to welcome Eva Seidel to this role, and look forward to her leadership and vision for the future of our association.

As we move forward, I am excited to take on the role of editor and to continue delivering content that informs, inspires, and connects our members. If you have ideas, stories, or topics you’d like to see featured in future editions, please don’t hesitate to reach out via editor@aair.org.au. Your input is invaluable in shaping the direction of this publication. Thank you for being part of the AAIR community.

Here’s to a year of collaboration, growth, and success in 2025!

Warm regards

Alexander Civil
