Welcome to the July edition of The Institutional Researcher! It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through 2025. The year is flying by, and it’s been energising to witness the momentum growing across the AAIR community.

Since stepping into the role of editor earlier this year—and joining AAIR for the first time—I continue to be blown away by the depth of knowledge, generosity, and engagement I’ve seen in every event, forum, and conversation. This is a community defined by curiosity, rigour, and collegiality, and I feel fortunate to be a part of it.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has shared ideas, articles, and reflections over the past few months. Your voices are what make this newsletter a rich and meaningful resource. And there’s always room for more—if you have something to share with the AAIR community, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m more than happy to help you shape your ideas, especially if you’re unsure where to start.
